Job Description Summary:

As a Systems Quality Assurance Engineer at Draper, your primary responsibility will be to ensure that our products adhere to the highest quality standards. You will investigate and resolve quality-related issues effectively.

Your role will involve reviewing Statements of Work (SOW), Requests for Proposals (RFP), design plans, process documentation, testing protocols, and manuals to fully comprehend the scope, requirements, and functionality of our products.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and assistance to customers, suppliers, and team members in resolving quality issues.
  • Contribute to enhancing manufacturing processes and product efficiency to minimize nonconformance.
  • Ensure that products comply with organizational and customer quality standards and product integrity requirements.
  • Support product development and operations teams by offering analysis and expertise throughout the inspection process.
  • Engage in cross-functional teams to identify root causes of failures, determining when failure analysis is necessary, and recommending corrective actions.
  • Analyze data to identify trends in product quality or defects, aiming to mitigate and prevent future occurrences.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Quality Standards such as ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100.
  • Expertise in process integration.
  • Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Capability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good interpersonal skills for clear communication.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Education:
Requires a Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering discipline.

Experience:
Requires 3-5 years of experience in quality engineering or a related engineering role.
