Position Overview:

The Healthcare Services Coordinator plays a crucial role in facilitating medical care by acting as a liaison between patients and psychiatric professionals. This position is essential in ensuring that both in-person and remote patients receive high-quality support and service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Foster a positive workplace culture and engage with clinical staff to enhance team dynamics.
    • Deliver exceptional customer service by promptly addressing patient inquiries and managing challenging situations with empathy.
    • Maintain effective communication with colleagues, clinicians, and patients to support overall patient care and satisfaction.
  • Patient Support:
    • Assist psychiatric professionals with essential patient care tasks, including prior authorizations and lab orders.
    • Facilitate communication between patients, medical staff, and pharmacies as needed.
  • Phone System Management:
    • Respond to incoming calls on the medical services line, providing assistance with medication inquiries and appointment scheduling.
    • Ensure patient pharmacy information is accurately recorded in medical records.
    • Support patients with telehealth access and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
    • Address urgent requests immediately, directing them to the appropriate departments for resolution.
  • Clinician Support:
    • Provide administrative assistance to clinicians, including sending correspondence and managing patient inquiries.
    • Coordinate with clinicians regarding patient-related questions and concerns.
    • Assist in the patient termination process as required.
Qualifications:
  • Proven ability to multitask and prioritize effectively to ensure a high-quality patient experience.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Electronic Medical Records (EMRs).
  • Experience in healthcare operations or customer service is preferred.
Education:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate's or bachelor's degree is preferred.
