Position Summary:
The Healthcare Services Coordinator plays a crucial role in facilitating medical care by acting as a liaison between patients and psychiatric professionals. This position is vital in ensuring high-quality service for both in-person and remote interactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Excellence:
Foster a positive workplace culture and engage with staff to enhance team dynamics. - Deliver exceptional customer service by promptly addressing patient inquiries and managing challenging situations with empathy.
- Maintain effective communication with colleagues, clinicians, and patients to support optimal care delivery.
Patient Support:
- Assist psychiatric professionals with essential patient care tasks, including managing prior authorizations and coordinating necessary documentation.
- Facilitate communication between patients, medical personnel, and pharmacies to ensure seamless care.
- Manage incoming calls related to medical services, addressing medication inquiries, refill requests, and appointment changes.
- Ensure accurate documentation of patient pharmacy information and assist with telehealth access and technical issues.
Clinician Support:
- Provide administrative assistance to clinicians, including sending correspondence and coordinating patient inquiries.
- Support clinicians in the patient termination process as required.
Qualifications:
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively to enhance patient experiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and electronic medical records.
- Experience handling sensitive information in compliance with privacy regulations.
Education and Experience:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate's or bachelor's degree is preferred. A minimum of one year of experience in healthcare operations or customer service is advantageous.
