Job Overview

The Procurement Specialist/Buyer will be responsible for the procurement and acquisition of final goods, ensuring the company's plan is executed at optimal cost, quality, and delivery. The ideal candidate will have expertise in market analysis and negotiation to secure the best deals, as well as excellent communication skills to maintain robust vendor relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research on suppliers of goods, request quotes, proposals, purchase terms and conditions, and analyze market trends.
  • Source products and follow approval for supplier, pricing, and purchase order, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Track and analyze monthly supply chain metrics and data, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with vendors, driving continuous improvement goals of optimal cost, quality, service, availability, and delivery.
  • Arrange and manage visits/meetings with vendors, setting agendas, providing reports, and following up on action items.
  • Manage and develop strong vendor relations through regular and consistent communication, ensuring a clear understanding of short/long-term goals and capabilities.
  • Stay up-to-date on developments in supply chain and purchasing management technologies and techniques, applying knowledge to improve processes and efficiency.
  • Proactively coordinate with office and warehouse team members to monitor inventory and evaluate appropriate safety stock levels.
Requirements
  • Experience in market research, optimizing procurement strategies, forecasting future needs, and making informed decisions to drive operations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise with internal teams, stakeholders, and external suppliers effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with experience in Oracle NetSuite a plus.
  • Supply Chain Management and/or Planning experience, with a strong understanding of industry trends and best practices.
  • Bilingual in Chinese (preferred but not required).
