About the Role
SiFive is a leading provider of RISC-V processor solutions. We are seeking an experienced software developer to join our team as a Senior Software Engineer, specializing in debug and profiling tools for our cutting-edge processors.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in low-level debugging, instruction tracing, and performance profiling. They will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing existing tools such as OpenOCD, GDB, LLDB, and SiFive TraceDecoder. Additionally, they will work on new features, collaborate with upstream communities, and engage with architecture, hardware engineering, and software engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Improve, build, and release OpenOCD, GDB, LLDB, and SiFive TraceDecoder.
  • Work with upstream communities to synchronize changes and improve tool efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review and refine new features.
  • Apply best practices for software development life cycle, including code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Develop innovative debug and performance tuning tools for SiFive processors.
  • Provide exceptional customer support and pre-sales services.
