Job Title: Repair Dispatch Manager

U-Haul is seeking a skilled Repair Dispatch Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating maintenance and repair initiatives to support our repair shops, centers, and vendors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with marketing companies, centers, repair shops, vendors, and customers to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Route and schedule mobile repair technicians to complete necessary repairs in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Monitor equipment in the field to strategically plan maintenance and minimize downtime.
  • Oversee transfer drivers and ensure they are equipped to handle repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Work closely with the Roadside Assistance Team to ensure prompt and effective resolution of customer issues.
  • Organize maintenance campaigns and initiatives to optimize equipment performance and reduce costs.
  • Prospect and maintain relationships with service providers to ensure high-quality repairs and maintenance services.
  • Review and audit repair records to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards.
  • Monitor outside garages for quality of work performed on U-Haul rental equipment.
Requirements:
  • Ability to work on call and respond to emergencies as needed.
  • General mechanical knowledge and experience with vehicle repair and maintenance.
  • Multi-unit-style management experience and ability to lead a team.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proficient computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office.
