Licensed Vocational Nurse

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) serves a crucial function in managing care for a select group of clients, ensuring the effective and monitored execution of their treatment strategies. In this role, you will spearhead initiatives aimed at improving clients' nutrition, dietary habits, and overall health.
Key Responsibilities:

- Actively engage in the treatment team, providing essential insights and support.
- Ensure timely completion of all required documentation and charting in electronic health records as mandated by program guidelines.
- Oversee medication orders and refills in partnership with pharmacies.
- Address client inquiries regarding medications promptly.
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of psychiatric history and physical health requirements.
- Educate clients about their medications and potential side effects.
- Collaborate with Psychiatrists and Registered Nurses to monitor client health, medication adherence, effectiveness, and side effects.
- Respond swiftly to medical emergencies and document vital signs accurately.
- Initiate timely interventions and provide crisis support as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a Vocational Nursing diploma from an accredited institution.
- Current licensure as a Vocational Nurse in California.
- A minimum of three years of experience in psychiatric patient care.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is preferred for roles serving Spanish-speaking clients.
- Experience with psychiatric and co-occurring disorders is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to manage emergency situations effectively.
- Able to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team environment.
