Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Group Finance Manager to join our team at HNTB. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of assigned service lines and/or portfolios of projects within an office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with the Office Finance Manager to create and maintain budgets for designated service lines or project portfolios.
  • Monitor monthly results, analyze variances, and recommend solutions to support goal achievement.
  • Provide financial oversight and guidance for projects of varying complexity in assigned service lines or portfolios.
  • Ensure adherence to internal processes and procedures, fostering efficient and compliant financial operations within service lines and/or portfolios of projects.
  • Manage a team, efficiently allocating resources to projects for designated service lines or project portfolios.
  • Provide financial management guidance to pursuit, project management, and finance teams to ensure appropriate setup and delivery of contractual business obligations.
  • Champion office cash management goals, ensuring effective cash collections and timely resolution of delinquent billings.
  • Participate in the pursuit process to position HNTB for successful project delivery.
  • Lead office month-end reporting and revenue recognition activities for designated service lines or project portfolios.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and 7 years of financial, project accounting/analysis, or related experience.
  • 2 years of project and/or people management/mentoring experience.
  • In lieu of education, 11 years of financial, project accounting/analysis, or related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Project Management certification, other contracting/project management certifications.
  • Master's degree in business or engineering.
  • Knowledge of project financial management/cost controls.
  • Knowledge of accounting/financial principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of A/E industry.
