Position Overview:
The Printing Machine Operator is responsible for managing printing tasks under the supervision of the Print Shop Supervisor or designated authority. This role requires independent judgment in executing defined procedures and encompasses the following responsibilities:

  • Processing and fulfilling work orders for various printed materials, including forms, brochures, and posters.
  • Operating digital production copiers to complete printing tasks efficiently.
  • Utilizing finishing equipment such as collators, staplers, and cutters to finalize printed products.
  • Adjusting machine settings for optimal performance and maintaining equipment as necessary.
  • Conducting routine cleaning and minor repairs on printing machinery.
  • Managing inkjet address printers and poster plotters for specialized printing needs.
  • Assisting in the production of signage and posters, including lamination and installation.
  • Maintaining accurate records of work orders and associated costs.
  • Performing electronic file merging and job scanning as required.
  • Carrying out additional related duties as assigned.
