Product Delivery and Operations Vice President

At 365 Retail Markets, we are seeking a highly experienced Product Delivery and Operations Vice President to lead our worldwide delivery and operational activities for software, hardware, and integrated solutions products. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality, highly differentiated solutions to enterprise customers and will be responsible for managing a team of product managers and cross-functional product owners who drive and lead a product lead culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and manage an ongoing product management governance structure in partnership with the executive leadership team.
  • Oversee the product pipeline and collaborate with organizational leaders to ensure project success.
  • Develop infrastructure to track, monitor, and ensure quality execution of all critical product-related activities, conducting regular product reviews and assessments.
  • Monitor the product from initiation through delivery, interfacing with external customers or field-based employees on technical matters, as needed.
  • Assign and monitor work of product staff, providing technical support, coaching, and direction.
  • Hold overall product management responsibility, i.e., coordinating efforts leading to product release.
  • Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
  • Control planning, staffing, budgeting, managing product priorities, and approving changes to methods and processes.
  • Develop strategic plans to ensure successful implementation of action plans and objectives where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of the company, competitive environment, technology, and economic or social implications of organization activities.
  • Approve budgets and schedules to meet corporate objectives.
  • Lead large teams that are culturally and geographically diverse.
  • Work with Product Management team to build world-class solutions roadmaps.
  • Interface with Sales, partners, and/or customers, to evangelize solutions, support deployments, and understand market trends.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans and objectives for the organization in alignment with corporate strategy; oversee direction and approve tactical administrative or operational policies and resource allocation decisions to ensure achievement of objectives.
  • Facilitate strategic inter-group cooperation and collaboration.
  • Drive a planful culture that is grounded in the desire to innovate, take calculated risks, and execute in a market-focused environment.
  • Develop high-performance teams, nurture talent, and motivate the next generation of leaders.
  • Develop and execute an overall product management vision.
  • Set Product Management goals and objectives.
  • Work closely with Solutions/Product Management, product development, test automation, and field employees, to ensure program goals are achieved or exceeded across all products and solutions.
  • Develop and nurture close working relationships with Solutions/Product Management, product development, test automation, field employees, partners, vendors, and/or customers.
  • Establish policies and procedures based on world-class standards for company-wide processes.
  • Provide training to ensure employees follow the standards and guidelines provided.
  • Oversee process improvement initiatives related to requirements gathering, development methodology, testing, and operational phases of various engineering projects.

Requirements:

  • Self-starter, accountable, proactive, and global experience.
  • 15+ years of experience in leading/managing engineering and technology functions.
  • Proven track record in delivering high-quality, highly differentiated solutions to enterprise customers.
  • Global leader with experience in building large multi-functional teams that are geographically dispersed.
  • Experience building relationships with Original Design Manufacturers/Joint Design Manufacturers (ODM/JDMs) and multiple operating environments (Microsoft, IBM, etc.).
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or electrical engineering or equivalent; MBA preferred.
  • Skilled at working cross-functionally and developing and maintaining positive relationships with Solutions/Product Management, product development, test automation, field employees, and customers.
  • Solid knowledge of the product lifecycle from development through testing and delivery.
  • Skilled at creating and leading processes, metrics, and improvement methodologies; Agile methodology.
  • Strong understanding of technology trends.
  • Strong, hands-on leader with strong direct and matrix organizational skills.
  • Innovative approach to problems coupled with creative thinking.
  • Able to influence and drive cross-functionally at all levels.
  • Excellent communicator in large and small group settings.
  • Fast-paced, high-energy, quick-thinking, change-oriented, and able to work with ambiguity.
