About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising the Right of Way department, including directing the preparation functions and all personnel decisions. This will involve providing oversight and direction of department or business unit, including strategy, budgeting, staff, and deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of departmental strategies and plans to achieve business objectives.
  • Manage and supervise a team of professionals to ensure effective execution of projects and tasks.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to staff to ensure high-quality work products.
  • Collaborate with other internal departments to meet project requirements and ensure seamless delivery.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Manage budgets and financial resources to ensure efficient use of company funds.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to ensure the department remains competitive and innovative.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and/or equivalent industry-related experience.
  • At least 15 years of experience in land acquisition, management, and right of way services, with a minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience.
  • Strong knowledge of land acquisition, management, and right of way services, including project management, acquisition, title, permitting, budgeting, cost forecasting, operation, due diligence, public relations, community outreach, and regulatory issues.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve business objectives.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Working Environment

  • Primarily indoor professional office environment.
  • Frequent and prolonged use of standard office equipment.
  • May require some out-of-the-area and overnight travel.
