About the Role

MasTec Professional Services is seeking a skilled Right of Way Agent to join our team. As a Right of Way Agent, you will play a critical role in determining the need for and acquiring valid right of way documentation for the construction, reconstruction, relocation, or improvement of electrical, pipeline, and communication facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communicate with property owners to negotiate agreements for permanent installations and temporary lay down areas associated with large utility distribution projects.
  • Identify project required properties and negotiate agreements with property owners.
  • Research and locate landowner information to facilitate the right of way process.
  • Serve as a liaison between property owners and utility clients during outreach and negotiation.
  • Ensure timely communications with various managers, engineers, tree crews, developers, contractors, customers, and others regarding the status of all assigned projects.
  • Review and prepare right of way agreements prior to client approval and court filing.
  • Prepare clear and concise documentation of the right of way process, including agreements, revisions, and modifications.
  • Facilitate acquisition and/or prepare and secure permits from government agencies and railroads.

Requirements

  • Excellent public relations and communication skills.
  • Ability to work comfortably and cooperatively with people of all walks of life.
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications, including SharePoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Familiar with work management tools and related technologies, such as GIS and Google Earth.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external teams and adapt to changing conditions and priorities.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time during busier periods.
  • Valid Driver's License with a satisfactory record.
