Responsibilities
  • Register patients and collect demographic information
  • Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations
  • Manage patient flow and ensure a smooth registration process
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to patient inquiries
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare teams to ensure accurate and timely registration
Requirements
  • One year of secretarial/clerical experience required
  • Six months of hospital registration or medical office experience preferred
  • General office skills, including computer/keyboarding and typing at least 30 wpm
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic customer service skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Working Conditions

The Patient Access Specialist will work in a fast-paced healthcare environment and must be able to multitask, work effectively in a team, and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

This is a temporary full-time position with a shift of 11p-7a, including weekends and holidays. The ideal candidate will be flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
