Position Overview

The role of the Clinical Specialist within Abbott's Electrophysiology (EP) division is pivotal in transforming the treatment landscape for heart disease through groundbreaking medical technologies aimed at atrial fibrillation. This position empowers individuals to reclaim their health and continue their lives.

Key Responsibilities

Under general supervision, you will deliver engineering, sales, educational, and technical support in response to inquiries from healthcare professionals, patients, and sales teams regarding EP products. Your role will involve:

  • Acting as a clinical liaison between the medical community and the organization.
  • Building and maintaining credible relationships with customers while sharing product expertise.
  • Providing comprehensive engineering, sales, and clinical support as needed.
  • Leading and facilitating training sessions on EP products for healthcare professionals.
  • Offering insights and feedback to management regarding market trends and product development.
  • Covering regional EP procedural cases and supporting EP Sales Representatives in various capacities.
  • Continuously enhancing your engineering, sales, and technical skills in alignment with the Arrhythmia Management strategy.
  • Assisting in the preparation of educational materials and advanced product demonstrations.
  • Staying informed on industry developments, regulatory requirements, and competitor products.
  • Resolving issues and facilitating solutions to prevent recurrence.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Bio-Medical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent healthcare experience.
  • Certification capability on EP products.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience in cardiac pacing or related fields.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of cardiology and electrophysiology procedures.
  • Familiarity with cath lab and operating room protocols.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or equivalent software for developing presentation materials.
