Job Title: Field Applications Specialist

ATS Automation is seeking a highly skilled Field Applications Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and training BioDot equipment, validating and customizing new robotic equipment, and developing new applications for current and new robotic lab equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performs installation and training of BioDot equipment
  • Validates, adapts and customizes new robotic equipment to support the automation of lab processes
  • Develops, validates and implements new applications for current and new robotic lab equipment
  • Continuously analyzes and improves current automation in the lab by applying state-of-the-art technology
  • Documents all steps of the design and implementation process and collects and analyzes experimental data for the validation process (IQ, OQ, PQ)

Requirements:

  • BS degree in Engineering, Biology, Chemistry or other technical discipline preferred
  • 3-5 years' experience programming and writing scripts for liquid handling equipment
  • Ability to work independently and project-oriented
  • Ability to evaluate experimental results independently
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to work autonomously at customer sites; customer-facing experience a plus
  • Ability to set priorities, manage multiple priority tasks and make technical decisions within time constraints
  • Ability to clearly communicate verbally and in writing
  • Familiar with standard laboratory procedures
  • Computer literacy, including familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Windows Explorer

Working Conditions:

  • The employee is subject to a normal office environment with occasional exposure to high noise levels and/or physical hazards when visiting manufacturing floor
  • Capable of wearing appropriate related PPE for extended periods of time
