Job Description

We are seeking high school students for entry-level per diem/relief internships in our Residential Services, Day Services, and Community Services Programs. As a High School Student Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable work experience and develop new skills while making a positive impact in our community.

We provide quality, individualized services to help individuals achieve their full potential and live independently. Our mission is to empower individuals and families to reach their goals and live fulfilling lives.

High School Student Intern Responsibilities:

  • Assist with daily routines and activities, such as meal preparation, cleaning, and laundry
  • Accompany and support individuals on outings and recreational activities
  • Assist with transportation and provide support during medical appointments and other activities
  • Participate in activities such as painting, hobbies, games, reading, and crafts
  • Assist with meal preparation and clean up
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by staff

Qualifications:

  • Must be currently enrolled in high school and be 17 years of age
  • Ability to physically assist individuals who use wheelchairs and/or walkers
  • Prefer interns who are interested in transitioning to a scheduled position upon turning age 18
