Job Overview

As the Executive Director of Aquatic Operations, you will oversee the daily operations of Goldfish Swim School, ensuring the highest level of quality and success. This role involves managing a team of highly engaged employees, motivating them to achieve financial targets and maintain a safe and sanitary swim environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administration/Organization
    • Develop and implement effective organizational systems to manage multiple situations simultaneously.
    • Direct and control daily operations to ensure compliance with Goldfish Swim School standard operating procedures.
    • Communicate and implement company policies and procedures to employees.
    • Manage staff to ensure high productivity, excellent performance, and positive employee satisfaction.
  • Leadership/Motivation
    • Serve as a role model for employees, promoting a positive and professional work environment.
    • Communicate effectively with the management team through regular meetings.
    • Oversee, support, direct, and develop staff to achieve improved employee satisfaction.
  • Sales and Revenue Management
    • Lead, motivate, and manage the sales team to achieve desired sales and enrollment targets.
    • Achieve desired revenue goals by leading a team of actively engaged employees.
    • Ensure the front desk sales staff has a high level of knowledge about our premier learn to swim lessons.
  • Financial
    • Exhibit an understanding of budgets and income statements.
    • Establish controls of expenses and purchasing supplies.
    • Display an ability to keep expenses at or below budget.
    • Demonstrate an ability to articulate variances in revenue/sales/expenses versus budget.
  • Safety
    • Direct and oversee the implementation of the Emergency Action Plan (EAP) and all safety procedures that pertain to the GSS facility.
    • Maintain current certifications and stay up-to-date professionally on the aquatics and management field.
    • Gains a high level of knowledge and experience in the GSS pool operations necessary to maintain a safe and sanitary swim environment.
  • Operations
    • Train and oversee all staff to ensure that the GSS standard operating procedures are being maintained.
    • Support personnel-related problems or difficulties by following company procedures and documentation.
    • Interact with the Deck Supervisors on issues related to class scheduling, student progress, customer service, and employee performance and training.
  • Customer Service
    • Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere that enhances the quality of service and care offered to GSS families.
    Requirements
    • Successful management of all financial budgetary goals.
    • Focuses on membership retention.
    • Timely completion of assigned tasks and projects.
    • Follow all policies and procedures in the employee handbook.

Schedule expectations: Some weeknights, weekends - open 7 days per week.
