Rix Industries is a technology-focused company that specializes in the design, development, and manufacturing of gas generation systems, precision compressor solutions, and cryogenic cooling technologies for critical applications in various markets.

The company was founded in 1878 and is headquartered in Benicia, CA, with additional facilities in Sparks, NV, and Rockville, CA.

This is a senior-level position responsible for the execution of programs, including elements through complete program life cycles, up to and including daily program management.

Programs include both internal programs and customer/external programs, with the primary interface being Program Management.

Responsibilities
  • Organize programs and related activities in accordance with the mission and goals of the organization.
  • Develop program proposals in collaboration with Sales, Business Development, Engineering, Finance, and other applicable functions.
  • Execute and monitor programs through the life cycle of the program(s) and related projects.
  • Create and document processes and procedures within the programs department.
  • Ensure milestones are being met across programs and related projects.
  • Develop, manage, and ensure program budgets are being met.
  • Manage risks and issues as they occur over the program life cycle and execute measures to correct them.
  • Implement and manage changes to ensure individual program goals are achieved.
  • Meet with stakeholders and ensure proper and adequate communication is consistently in place.
  • Produce accurate and timely reporting of program(s) status.
  • Coordinate potential customer growth strategies with the Sales, Engineering, and Operations teams.
  • Domestic and International travel as required to visit Rix Facilities, customers, vendors, and attend seminars and training events.
Requirements
  • Four-year degree in Business, Program Management, Engineering, or related field from an accredited college or university, and/or 5 or more years of relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge and experience handling project and program management methodology and techniques.
  • Ability to collect and analyze data, solve practical problems, manage risk, and deal with multiple variables in situations where limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret various instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Exhibit and maintain a professional and positive image, and exercise solid judgement, in any situation.
  • Demonstrated practice and history of budgeting and resource allocation.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Ability to communicate with others to exchange information both orally and in writing.
  • Citizenship: U.S. Citizen or qualified U.S. Person in accordance with ALU 22CFR 120.15. May require the ability to obtain DOD security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Engineering Degree
  • MS or MBA in Related Field
  • 10 or more years of relevant experience

The ideal candidate must have the following physical abilities:

  • Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch, reach, and lift.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods at a desk or table as well as machine tools or printers.
