About the Role:

Asterix Communications is seeking a highly skilled Petrochemical Integration and Optimization Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless integration across various LTC projects and individual units, with a focus on identifying opportunities to improve project economics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Improve the economics of LTC program projects by addressing opportunities related to integrating hydrocarbons transferred between a refinery and a petrochemicals facility.
  • Optimize refinery process flow and fuels blending to maximize efficiency.
  • Optimize steam cracking feed selection, process flow, and configuration to improve yields.
  • Optimize aromatics feed, products, and recovery to minimize waste and maximize profitability.
  • Identify and analyze process interactions at the refinery/chemical plants interface to ensure smooth operations.
  • Conduct techno-economic evaluations to inform business decisions.
  • Participate in hazard operability (HAZOP) and safety integrity level (SIL) studies as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • At least 15 years of experience in refining and petrochemicals process units, including at least five years in integration and optimization.
