We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Respiratory Care Practitioner to join our team at Houston Methodist Cypress Hospital. As a key member of our respiratory care department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, leading a team of respiratory care practitioners, and contributing to the development of our department's quality improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of respiratory care practitioners in providing high-quality patient care, including respiratory therapy, patient assessment, and education.
- Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and departmental performance.
- Collaborate with other departments and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
- Conduct quality audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Provide training and mentorship to respiratory care practitioners to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Graduate of an accredited respiratory care education program.
- Current licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the state of Texas.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- At least 4 years of experience as a respiratory care practitioner, with at least 2 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation) certification.
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification.
- Experience with quality improvement initiatives and data analysis.
