Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our team at Custom Truck One Source. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing vehicle troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance work on chassis and track-mounted aerials, digger derricks, cranes, high rail, and other equipment, in accordance with dealer and factory standards, in the field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform vehicle troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance work on heavy equipment, including electrical and hydraulic systems.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and repair orders/instructions to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Diagnose and repair LMI diagnostics and CAN bus systems.
  • Inspect and service vehicles, making repairs and adjustments as needed.
  • Verify work performed, road test vehicles as necessary.
  • Prepare inspection reports, repair orders, and timecards completely and accurately.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Five years of related experience, preferably in a shop or field technician role.
  • Valid driver's license (CDL Class B preferred).
  • Ability to work in outside weather conditions, including wet and/or humid conditions.
  • Physical capability for lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling.
Preferred Skills
  • Electrical, schematic, hydraulic, welding, and related experience.
  • Experience with Quick Serve, DTNA, or related diagnostic software.
  • DOT, ANSI, and Dielectric testing desired.
