Role Summary:
Are you looking for a chance to engage with semiconductor manufacturing technology? In this role, you will deliver customer support for the installation, repair, and maintenance of photolithography semiconductor equipment. Training will be provided in various locations.
This position necessitates full-time attendance at designated work sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure equipment operates within factory specifications.
- Guide customers on the operation and upkeep of equipment.
- Act as the company representative for assigned projects, including installations and major component replacements.
- Conduct complex repairs and maintenance in accordance with factory protocols, both independently and collaboratively.
- Offer technical assistance to customers, addressing inquiries related to operational procedures and equipment issues to minimize downtime and foster positive relationships.
- Identify and report equipment errors and performance issues to support troubleshooting and maintenance efforts.
- Maintain precise documentation of activities and generate periodic reports.
- Provide training to customer personnel to ensure effective service and operational proficiency.
- Collaborate with fellow technicians in the field to troubleshoot and service equipment.
Qualifications:
This role involves direct customer interaction and adherence to customer policies, which may include health and safety protocols.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience, including technical or military training, plus 5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience or knowledge in optics, lasers, software, robotics, precision mechanics, or chemicals is essential.
- Familiarity with the Linux operating system is preferred for equipment operation and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on mechanical skills are required.
- Experience with electronic testing instruments is necessary.
- Ability to work independently on equipment while also collaborating with other engineers in challenging environments.
- Strong troubleshooting abilities and excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Customer support experience is advantageous.
- Willingness to travel and adapt to flexible schedules is required.
- Comfortable working in a cleanroom environment, including wearing protective gear.
- Domestic travel may be necessary, requiring a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- This position demands continuous physical effort, including standing, walking, sitting, repetitive motions, and lifting up to 25 pounds unassisted.
- Compliance with safety guidelines and regulations is mandatory.
