Civil Litigation Attorney

We are in search of a driven litigation attorney to join our team in a hybrid work arrangement. This role encompasses all stages of litigation, from case management and motion practice to mediation and trial proceedings. Our team comprises skilled and experienced legal professionals committed to providing ongoing mentorship to emerging associate attorneys. Our clientele spans various sectors, including Insurance Providers, Third Party Administrators, Food Production Companies, Retail Businesses, Transportation Firms, Automobile Manufacturers, Professional Service Providers, Healthcare Institutions, Technology Companies, Electrical Equipment Manufacturers, Financial Services, Steel Producers, Medical Product Manufacturers, and Chemical Industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate intricate legal and factual matters, perform comprehensive legal research, and independently formulate and present defense strategies for clients.
  • Draft complex legal documents, including pleadings, written discovery, depositions, motions, and briefs supporting defense strategies.
  • Deliver timely and effective communication, legal advice, and services to clients regarding legal and factual matters.
  • Engage with the court, witnesses, opposing counsel, and co-counsel in accordance with established office protocols.
  • Ensure the efficient and effective management of assigned cases; and
  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of witnesses and evidence during trials, judicial and administrative hearings, arbitrations, and alternative dispute resolutions.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law institution.
  • Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.
  • 3 - 10 years of experience in litigation within California.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cases both independently and collaboratively.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building and maintaining client relationships.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills.

Additional Information:

  • Base Salary: $130,000 - $215,000
  • Hybrid work schedule, with office attendance as required
