Speech-Language Pathologist for Educational Settings

Position Overview:

Soliant is looking for a skilled and passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to work within a school environment. The SLP will play a crucial role in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating students who face challenges with speech, language, and communication, with the goal of improving their educational and social outcomes.

Key Duties:

  • Perform comprehensive evaluations to identify speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in students.
  • Create and execute personalized treatment strategies that cater to the unique needs of each student.
  • Deliver direct therapy services to students, both in one-on-one and group formats.
  • Work collaboratively with educators, families, and other school personnel to enhance students' communication and learning objectives.
  • Engage in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, aiding in the development and assessment of specific goals for students.
  • Track and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  • Keep precise and current records of assessments, therapy sessions, and progress reports.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Current SLP license or certification in the state of Minnesota.
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) is preferred.
  • Prior experience in a school setting is highly advantageous.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capacity to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
