Job Summary

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setup new projects in various systems based on information provided by the sales team or project manager.
  • Perform daily and weekly payroll reviews for plumbing technicians.
  • Act as a backup to the service dispatcher, handling tasks such as answering phones, issuing purchase orders, and daily/weekly payroll reviews for all technicians.
  • Attend weekly meetings with the project manager to review job status updates.
  • Collaborate with the construction team on AIA documentation required for project compliance.
  • Submit certified payroll documents to contractors weekly as required.
  • Meet monthly with the management team to review project status, billings, and revenue recognition.
  • Ensure timely execution and implementation of every aspect of the project.
  • Monitor and report on project progress to the team.
  • Minimize exposure and risk by proactively identifying project issues.
  • Develop and implement corrective actions when needed.
  • Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
  • Manage and resolve vendor and customer issues as they arise.
  • Issue purchase orders to vendors and subcontractors.
  • Work with customers and subcontractors for account setup.
  • Follow process documentation for proper accounting compliance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of prior accounting experience.
  • Prior job cost knowledge is required.
  • Proficiency in Windows-based software (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Internet Explorer is required.
  • Experience in accounting software systems.

  • Ability to financially analyze a project for billing and margin underages and overages.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to function well in a high-intensity, constantly changing environment.
  • Ability to contribute as part of a team.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize to meet deadlines as needed.
  • Excellent math ability.
  • Proficient with 10-key calculators.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle a large volume of work.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Higher Education, College degree preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit for long periods of time.
  • Ability to use hand/eye coordination throughout the workday.
  • Repetitive and continuous hand movement using keyboard/calculator throughout the workday.
