Job Summary

Helio Health is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Residential Specialist to work on a Per Diem basis with our Residential Program. As a key member of our team, you will provide essential support to our behavioral healthcare professionals in delivering services to residents with mental health issues and/or substance use disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately document files in accordance with NYS and Federal licensing requirements.
  • Manage Electronic Medical Records with precision and confidentiality.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of all case records and patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Engage residents and their significant others in program planning and progress assessments.
  • Teach Activities of Daily Living (ADL) skills to residents.
  • Develop service plans for residents in collaboration with supervisors, senior specialists, and collateral contacts.
  • Supervise the self-administration of medication daily to ensure all medications have been ingested as prescribed.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the program site and property.
  • Conduct random room/property searches as directed.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree in Human Services preferred.
  • At least one year of experience in a mental health setting and/or experience working with individuals abusing and/or addicted to alcohol and/or drugs preferred.
  • Valid NYS Driver's License required.
