Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop advanced high-performance interface IPs, test chips, and subsystems (e.g., Serdes/DDR/HDMI/MIPI/USB) utilizing the latest FinFet and Gate-All-Around process technologies.
- Oversee the entire digital implementation process from RTL to GDS, which includes Synthesis, Floor Planning, Power Analysis and Planning, CTS, Placement and Routing, STA, EMIR Signoff, and Physical Verification.
- Establish physical design methodologies and create automation scripts for various implementation stages using the Synopsys EDA ecosystem.
- Ensure timely project deliverables, monitor project progress, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and provide technical support as needed.
Qualifications:
- A degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Over 5 years of practical experience in ASIC physical implementation and EDA tools.
- Strong understanding of IC design principles, implementation workflows, and sign-off methodologies for deep submicron design.
- Familiarity with industry-standard data file formats: Verilog, GDS, LEF, DEF, SDF, LIB, UPF, CPM, CMM.
- Proficient in scripting and programming languages such as TCL, Make, Unix Shell, Perl, and Python.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Recent involvement in project tape-outs.
- Insight into logical bottlenecks affecting timing closure and strategies to address these challenges.
- Expertise in TCL, Make, Unix Shell, Perl, and Python scripting.
- Experience with Synopsys tools including Design Compiler, IC Compiler (2), Fusion Compiler, Prime Time, and IC Validator.
