Endoscopy Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Endoscopy RN to join our team at Ochsner Health. As a key member of our endoscopy department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.
Responsibilities- Utilize the nursing process to deliver high-quality patient care, ensuring a safe and comfortable experience for patients undergoing endoscopic procedures.
- Assess learning needs and implement effective teaching strategies to educate patients and their families on endoscopy procedures and post-procedure care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination and optimal patient outcomes.
- Delegate and manage nursing team resources to ensure efficient and effective care delivery.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest endoscopy procedures and technologies, and apply this knowledge to improve patient care and outcomes.
- Current RN license in the state of practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Preferred: Certification in a clinical specialty area, such as gastroenterology or endoscopy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
