Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Attorney to join our team at Thomas Talent Network. As a key member of our litigation defense team, you will play a critical role in defending our clients against medical malpractice, general liability, and employment claims.

Key Responsibilities
  • Draft and Review Discovery Documents: Prepare and review discovery documents, including responses to interrogatories, requests for production, and depositions.
  • Conduct Depositions: Attend, take, and defend depositions of fact and expert witnesses.
  • Summarize Expert Witness Meetings: Review and summarize meetings with expert witnesses, including their opinions and findings.
  • Review and Summarize Records: Review and summarize various records, including medical records, HR records, and documents produced in discovery.
  • Perform Legal and Medical Research: Conduct research on legal and medical issues related to civil litigation.
  • Attend Court Hearings: Attend court hearings and argue motions as necessary.
  • Assist in Trial Preparation: Assist in trial preparation, including drafting trial documents, motions in limine, and other required tasks.
  • Manage Complex Caseload: Manage and prioritize a large and complex caseload, including multiple cases and deadlines.
Requirements
  • ABA Accredited Law School Graduate: Must be a graduate of an American Bar Association (ABA) accredited law school.
  • California Bar Member: Must be a member of the California Bar in good standing.
  • 3+ Years of Experience: Must have at least 3 years of experience as an attorney.
  • Excellent Writing and Communication Skills: Must have excellent writing and communication skills, including the ability to draft clear and concise documents.
  • Self-Starter with Minimal Oversight: Must be a self-starter who can operate independently with minimal oversight, but also be able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Experience in Civil Litigation: Must have experience in civil litigation, including medical malpractice and general liability claims.
