We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team at Danbury Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and assume responsibility for a group of patients for a designated time frame.
Responsibilities- Perform ongoing and systematic assessments of patients' physiologic, psychological, and cognitive status.
- Develop and implement goal-directed plans of care based on determined nursing diagnoses and patient outcomes.
- Implement care in a knowledgeable, skillful, consistent, and continuous manner.
- Establish priorities of patient care based on essential patient needs and available resources.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of care given and patient progression toward outcomes.
- Identify patients' and significant others' learning needs and implement appropriate measures to meet them.
- Coordinate interdisciplinary functions and fulfill all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
- State of CT RN license.
- BLS certification required.
- Minimum six months of RN Labor & Delivery and Obstetrical experience.
- Significant manual skills and motor coordination.
- Significant occupational risk.
- Very Heavy effort, exerting up to 50 lbs. force.
- Significant exposure to dirt, odor, noise, human waste, etc.
- 36.00 control hours.
- Evening Night 12 work schedule.
- Full-time position.
