About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SRE Manager to join our team at Apple. As a key member of our Cloud Services Engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and operation of our cloud-based services.

As a Site Reliability Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our cloud-based services. This includes leading a team of engineers to design, develop, and operate our cloud-based services, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with other Apple services.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of engineers to design, develop, and operate cloud-based services
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with other Apple services
  • Ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of cloud-based services
  • Develop and implement best practices for reliability engineering
  • Manage staging and production environments to maximize availability
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience with large-scale distributed systems, especially ML infrastructure and services
  • Demonstrable success leading engineering teams, ideally SRE or Production Engineering
  • Knowledge of core operating system principles, networking fundamentals, and systems management
  • Understanding of SRE principles, including monitoring, alerting, error budgets, fault analysis, and other common reliability engineering concepts
  • Experience with hiring and leading engineers
  • 5+ years of professional experience in an engineering leadership position
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or equivalent field with 5+ years of experience
