Position Overview

Under general supervision, you will carry out preventive maintenance, repair, installation, and replacement of HVAC mechanical systems, Building Control Systems, Security Systems, or Fire Alarm Systems.

In this role, you will support branch leadership by mentoring and coaching branch technicians to enhance customer satisfaction and adhere to operational processes.

Your responsibilities will include providing Level 1 technical support and facilitating the technical development of team members.

It is essential to ensure that all work complies with state, local, and federal regulations while maintaining the highest ethical standards.

You will be responsible for accurately completing all necessary project and service documentation.

As a trusted advisor, you will deliver exceptional service to our clients, addressing building inefficiencies and resolving service-related issues promptly.


Key Responsibilities
  • Comply with all safety standards set by Johnson Controls and our clients.
  • Lead safety initiatives and provide training to all technicians.
  • Educate subcontractors on safety protocols at Johnson Controls job sites.
  • Be recognized as a leader among peers, acting as a coach and mentor within the branch.
  • Serve as an escalation point for technical issues and provide on-the-job training for fellow technicians.
  • Offer solutions for complex system challenges through troubleshooting or advisory support.
  • Act as a liaison between the branch and the technical resource team for critical issues.
  • Establish yourself as an expert in your field, gaining respect from both colleagues and clients.
  • Assist management in ensuring adherence to operational disciplines among technicians.
  • Provide input on the development and training needs of the branch.
  • Help develop quotes and estimates for identified labor and material work, submitting them to the appropriate parties.
  • Identify material requirements necessary for effective service delivery.
  • Support the Service Manager in scheduling personnel with the appropriate skills for repairs or installations.
  • Communicate with clients upon arrival and before departing the work site.
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by regularly meeting with clients to understand their operational challenges.
  • Keep clients informed about the nature of services provided, outstanding issues, and recommend system enhancements or repairs.
  • Manage assigned tasks to ensure professional execution, timely delivery, and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide consultancy-level services regarding building system repairs and enhancements.
  • Ensure ultimate satisfaction levels with assigned clients.
  • Engage in self-study to enhance and maintain technical proficiency.
  • Complete all required training and certifications as mandated by the company.

Additionally, you will be expected to provide recommendations and solutions to ensure the facility operates efficiently, including identifying upselling opportunities and preparing quotes to support your recommendations.


Qualifications

In addition to the technical skills required for this position, candidates should demonstrate strong leadership capabilities.

The ability to work independently and coordinate the efforts of other employees and contractors on-site is essential.

Effective interpersonal skills are necessary to represent the company to clients and external contacts.

Candidates must be able to convey technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
