Key Responsibilities

  • Execute programming, troubleshooting, installation, commissioning, and preventive maintenance of HVAC control systems, focusing on mechanical, electrical, and low-voltage control components.
  • Address service and warranty inquiries utilizing Johnson Controls' configuration and commissioning tools, along with various hand tools, including electrical testing devices.
  • Deliver frontline technical support and repair services through effective communication with clients.
  • Offer system repair and upgrade recommendations, assisting in the proposal of solutions to clients.
  • Collaborate with a team of skilled technicians, enhancing your career within a leading global organization.
  • Ensure the highest level of service to clients, addressing building inefficiencies and resolving service-related issues. As a trusted partner, you will provide timely solutions and outcomes.

How You Will Achieve This

  • Load and configure Johnson Controls field and network-level controller software.
  • Conduct commissioning and diagnostics for all system controllers and end devices (e.g., sensors, actuators) while completing necessary documentation.
  • Keep management and clients informed about job progress and any issues encountered.
  • Calibrate systems using basic electronic testing equipment.
  • Complete administrative tasks, including time sheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation.
  • Document modifications and provide information for as-built records.
  • Participate in company-sponsored and self-initiated training to maintain a high level of expertise.
  • Engage with clients to thoroughly understand their systems and requirements.
  • Communicate with clients upon arrival and before departing the work site.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and participate in required safety training, prioritizing the safety of employees and subcontractors.
  • Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure efficient facility operations, including upselling opportunities.
  • Prepare quotes to support recommendations and solutions.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a vocational school program or an Associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning, or a related field, along with three years of industry experience, or two years of experience in servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems within the HVAC sector.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, their sequences, and applications.
  • Proven technical aptitude in mechanical and electro-mechanical disciplines.
  • Proficient in using hand and power tools, as well as electrical testing equipment such as multimeters.
  • Solid understanding of personal computer usage.
  • Attention to detail and strong communication and listening skills.
