Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with experienced technicians to master various tasks and responsibilities.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial kitchen equipment, including Walk-in Coolers and Freezers, Ice Machines, and Refrigeration units.
  • Maintain refrigeration units to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Document repairs thoroughly and accurately.
  • Install replacement components, such as compressors and evaporators, as needed.
  • Ensure equipment meets manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
  • Present proposals to clients as needed, highlighting the benefits of our services.
  • Solve problems efficiently and effectively, utilizing strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Organize tasks with minimal supervision, prioritizing deadlines and workload.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and management, maintaining strong relationships and a professional demeanor.
  • Travel to job sites throughout Connecticut and Rhode Island, as needed.
  • Interpret engineered drawings and operation sequences to ensure accurate repairs and installations.
  • Understand HVAC/R system operations, including controls and installation.
Requirements
  • 2-year technical certification or associate degree in a related field.
  • Motivation to work in the HVAC/R industry, preferably with 1-3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, with the ability to analyze complex problems.
  • EPA universal certification (preferred).
  • Valid driver's license with a clean record.
  • Possess essential hand tools and equipment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Physical ability to perform job tasks, including walking, standing, driving, and lifting.
