Job Overview

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a skilled Financial Stability Specialist to support efforts to advance stability and economic mobility for individuals in financial crises related to housing and utilities. This role involves assessing financial needs, determining program eligibility, creating case plans, and connecting clients to internal and external resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service and assess financial needs for eligibility.
  • Utilize motivational interviewing and problem-solving skills to help clients navigate their crises.
  • Collaborate with clients to create case plans for resolving financial emergencies and future stability.
  • Advocate for clients with landlords and service providers.
  • Document client information and maintain accurate records.
  • Refer individuals to internal and community support services.
  • Communicate effectively with external organizations to ensure successful referrals.

Requirements:

  • Passion for helping people in poverty and improving community stability.
  • At least three years of experience in human services, ideally in the nonprofit sector.
  • Experience working with diverse and historically oppressed populations.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated, independent worker with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (spoken and written) preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

Work Environment:

  • Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional after-hours or weekend work.
  • Primarily office-based work with standard physical activities such as sitting, standing, typing, and answering phones.
  • Maintain a safe and organized workspace.

Compensation: $23.00 to $24.00 per hour
