Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate After School Arts/Media Instructor to join our team at George Washington High School in Philadelphia. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of high school youth and help them develop essential skills and knowledge in the arts and media.

Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with a small group of students and provide guidance and support to help them achieve their goals
  • Design and implement engaging and interactive arts and media programs that promote social-emotional learning and career readiness
  • Mentor youth in STEM and sports activities, and provide opportunities for them to develop their interests and talents
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of youth at all times, and provide active supervision during program activities
  • Collaborate with other staff members to develop and implement program plans and activities

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; experience working with children and youth preferred
  • Experience in the arts or media, or a related field, preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
