Job Summary

As the Operations Manager at Wesco International, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our warehouse distribution center. Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of the warehouse, including accurate order fulfillment, shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
  • Lead a team of employees, including Operations Associates, Drivers, and Administrative Coordinators, to ensure seamless operations.
  • Interact with internal departments, such as Sales, and external customer support teams to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Oversee key performance indicators (KPIs) to maintain and improve service quality.
  • Manage employees in a unionized environment, including performance management, coaching, and training.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and audit standards, including internal controls and ISO.
  • Manage expense-based profit and loss statements (P&L) to plan and drive efficiencies within the facility using LEAN methodologies.
  • Maintain facility tour-ready standards and ensure preventative maintenance of equipment and infrastructure.
  • Work with sales professionals and leadership to ensure alignment with market strategy and accurately set customer expectations.
  • Collaborate with other support departments, such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Human Resources, and Finance.
Requirements
  • High School Degree or Equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 5+ years' operations experience, specifically in distribution center facilities preferred.
  • Experience managing a group or team of individual contributors and/or indirectly supervising support staff.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Excel, Word, Teams, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in both group and individual settings.
  • Capable of handling multiple priorities with a high sense of urgency.
  • Ability to travel 0-25% of the time.
Working Environment

The Operations Manager will work in a warehouse environment with moderately quiet noise levels, well-ventilated and well-lit conditions. Employees may be exposed to various weather conditions and may be required to wear protective clothing. The role involves operating heavy equipment and adhering to strict safety regulations.
