This position requires comfort in engaging with customers, vendors, and other stakeholders, often necessitating extended periods of standing.

Key Duties & Responsibilities: The responsibilities of the Customer Service Representative encompass, but are not limited to:

  • Providing exceptional customer service in alignment with company standards.
  • Offering in-person assistance to customers throughout the purchasing journey, including payment processing, financing options, and coordinating pickups and deliveries.
  • Supporting team members and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Accurately and efficiently processing cash, credit card, and check transactions.
  • Verifying and reconciling daily cash registers while ensuring proper fund management and security protocols.
  • Managing returns, refunds, and exchanges in accordance with store policies.
  • Adhering to security measures to deter theft and maintain a safe workplace.
  • Staying informed about current merchandise and promotional offers.
  • Routing calls to the appropriate personnel and delivering messages to sales staff promptly.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with existing and potential customers.
  • Completing and submitting required store reports daily to the corporate office by designated deadlines.
  • Upholding confidentiality and adhering to all credit policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Ensuring all funds are balanced at the start and end of shifts, as well as during breaks.
  • Executing daily cash drops securely and in accordance with company expectations.
  • Maintaining a tidy and organized cashier area, ensuring it is stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Conducting all job functions with integrity and honesty.
  • Performing additional tasks as assigned by store management.

Required Experience:

  • Proficient reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Outgoing and engaging personality, eager to interact with customers both in person and via phone.
  • Welcoming and supportive attitude towards customers and colleagues.
  • Aptitude for learning and adapting to current technology systems.
  • Receptive to coaching and feedback.

Preferred Experience:

  • Prior experience in cashiering or retail is preferred.
  • Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays; regular attendance is essential.
  • Organized and detail-oriented.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and adjust priorities as needed.
  • Maintaining a professional appearance and projecting a positive company image to the public.

Working Conditions:

  • Work is conducted in a retail store environment.
  • Physical demands include standing for extended periods, packing and lifting boxes for shipment, managing inventory, and utilizing technology and computers.
