Key Responsibilities of the Configuration Technician:

  • Adhere to detailed written instructions to effectively provision and set up IT devices, ensuring they meet customer specifications.
  • Perform basic assembly of equipment tailored to client needs.
  • Handle the unboxing, re-boxing, and processing of equipment for transportation.
  • Conduct cleaning, testing, and inspection of IT devices.
  • Report any technical or other issues to the immediate supervisor.
  • Engage in internal departmental and project discussions.
  • Provide insights on enhancing processes and operational efficiencies.

Qualifications for the Configuration Technician:

  • High School Diploma or GED, with at least 1 year of relevant experience or training directly related to the specified duties.
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License (with fewer than 6 points to comply with insurance standards).
  • Technical certifications are advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Capability to lift up to 60 lbs., with physical activities including carrying, standing, and bending while handling IT equipment for approximately 50% of the time.
  • Occasional use of basic tools and cleaning agents, as well as disassembling and reassembling IT components.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication abilities.
  • Capacity to work independently while maintaining positive relationships with colleagues, management, and clients.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple low-complexity priorities.
  • Attention to detail and a robust work ethic are essential.
  • Willingness to learn various IT disciplines at a foundational level.
