Job Summary

Berea College is seeking a highly skilled Audiovisual Engineer II to join our team. As a key member of our events team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of audiovisual events on campus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the setup, operation, and maintenance of audiovisual equipment for events
  • Supervise and train student workers to assist with event support
  • Collaborate with event producers to define technical requirements and arrange necessary resources
  • Recommend audiovisual technology options for event venues
  • Manage audiovisual equipment inventory, including routine maintenance, testing, and repairs
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • At least three years of experience in live event and media production
  • Strong technical knowledge of lighting, video, audio, and media equipment
  • Ability to diagnose and repair audiovisual equipment configurations and software/hardware problems
  • Exceptional customer service skills
Working Conditions

This position requires regular attendance and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Some lifting is required, up to 50lbs. The ability to navigate campus and campus buildings independently is also necessary.
