Orthopedic Medical Assistant Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at The Center for Orthopedic and Research Excellence. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare providers in delivering top-notch orthopedic services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist healthcare providers during clinic visits and procedures, ensuring seamless patient care and provider readiness.
  • Record patient vitals and maintain accurate charting and documentation, adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Participate in various medical procedures, including splinting, casting, and wound care, under the supervision of licensed healthcare professionals.
  • Manage sterile procedures and injections, maintaining a safe and clean environment for patients.
  • Organize paperwork and authorize patient prescriptions, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Support the physician's schedule and contribute to clinic preparation, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations, upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
  • Provide exceptional patient care and service, demonstrating empathy and compassion in all interactions.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, with a strong foundation in medical terminology and anatomy.
  • Certified Medical Assistant or 2 years of clinical experience, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality patient care.
  • Excellent organizational and customer service skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Proficiency with computers and office equipment, with a strong understanding of medical software and systems.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform various movements, with a focus on maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
