Key Responsibilities- Operate x-ray equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
- Prepare patients for exams by explaining procedures, positioning patients, and ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Develop and process x-ray films, and maintain accurate records of patient exams.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest x-ray technology and techniques to provide high-quality patient care.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; certification or licensure in radiologic technology preferred.
- Proficiency in x-ray equipment operation and maintenance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Work in a clinical setting with frequent exposure to radiation.
- Stand for long periods and lift patients as needed.
- Use computer and other office equipment to maintain records and communicate with patients and staff.
