Key Responsibilities- Product Development Support: Assist with the development of new products, including researching, purchasing, and sourcing new or existing products, and maintaining accurate documentation.
- Team Collaboration: Support multiple teams across the product development process, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
- Market Research and Analysis: Utilize insights to develop new product and packaging ideas, and conduct market and product research to inform development decisions.
- Product Sourcing and Costing: Coordinate new product development, including sourcing, costing, packaging, and pricing recommendations.
- Sample Management: Manage and fulfill sample requests for evaluation, customer meetings, and trade shows.
- Quality Control: Work with Quality Control to ensure all new products and packaging are vetted for vendor documentation approval.
- Vendor Communication: Communicate with domestic and international third-party vendors to source new products and packaging, and obtain current costs, samples, and specifications.
- Marketing Support: Work with Marketing and Creative on communication materials supporting new product launches.
- Departmental Support: Collaborate with PD team members to support department initiatives.
- Education: Bachelor's degree or internship experience in a related field preferred.
- Experience: One (1) to two (2) years' experience in Product Development or Product Management in a manufacturing or CPG organization.
- Skills: Process-oriented, with the ability to execute and introduce systemic processes. Dynamic multi-tasker, with the ability to prioritize, balance, and support multiple initiatives. Organized, detail-focused approach, with the ability to problem solve effectively and creatively.
- Software Proficiency: Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, with advanced Excel skills.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with Sales staff and customers.
