Job Title: Lumber Sales

At Latvala Lumber - Paramount Granite Company Inc, we are seeking a skilled Salesperson to join our team. As a Salesperson, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers receive accurate, timely, and personalized assistance in purchasing lumber and building materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers, understanding their specific needs and offering tailored solutions to meet their project requirements.
  • Utilize your expertise to accurately estimate the quantity and type of lumber and building materials required for construction projects, providing detailed quotes to customers in a timely manner.
  • Stay current with the latest products and industry trends, recommending the best materials and products for various construction projects.
  • Assist customers in making purchasing decisions, explaining the features and benefits of various products and providing pricing information, closing sales and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Efficiently process sales orders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of products to the customer's satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the sales team, warehouse staff, and management to ensure seamless operations and meet sales targets.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, estimates, and sales transactions.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in sales within the lumber or building materials industry.
  • Knowledge of lumber and building materials, including various wood species, sizes, and applications.
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented with a strong work ethic.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
