Position Overview
As an Evening Culinary Preparation Specialist, your primary role will be to ensure the meticulous and precise preparation of ingredients utilized in our menu items, adhering to Health Department regulations. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Preparing fresh produce as required.
  • Crafting menu items in accordance with demand.
  • Taking ownership of the quality of all prepared and served products.
  • Consistently following our standard portion sizes, preparation methods, quality benchmarks, and kitchen protocols.
  • Maintaining adequate stock levels of food products at line stations to facilitate seamless service.
  • Portioning food items according to established specifications and recipes.
  • Ensuring a clean and sanitary workstation, including tables, shelves, counters, and floors.
  • Upholding the kitchen and preparation area to meet or exceed cleanliness and sanitation standards set by the Health Department.
  • Properly handling, storing, and rotating all products.
  • Executing food preparation and portioning tasks as necessary.
  • Opening and closing the prep area in accordance with established procedures and checklists.
  • Participating in scheduled employee meetings and contributing suggestions for operational improvements.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned by management.
  • Monitoring ingredient and food item inventory, assisting with supply orders as needed.
  • Maintaining the neatness and orderliness of your station and the restaurant through cleaning and organization tasks.
  • Adhering to FIFO practices for product storage and rotation.
  • Properly maintaining and utilizing all kitchen equipment as per manufacturer and company guidelines.
  • Exhibiting and promoting proper hygiene and sanitation practices.
  • Maintaining a friendly, courteous, and positive demeanor at all times.
  • Presenting a clean, neat, and professional appearance.
  • Supporting fellow employees to enhance the overall operation of the establishment.
  • May supervise and oversee other stations and personnel based on management needs.
  • Completing other tasks as directed by upper management.
On certain evenings, you may be required to operate a high-temperature dishwasher or a three-compartment sink to assist with cleaning kitchenware as part of closing duties.
