Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular maintenance and preventative measures on ammonia refrigeration systems.
  • Document maintenance activities accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Utilize gauges and instruments to observe and test system operations.
  • Dismantle, assemble, and install refrigeration equipment as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with various departments and management regarding operational concerns.
  • Ensure all repairs are thoroughly documented in accordance with standard operating procedures.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory levels of parts and supplies.
  • Provide training and troubleshooting support to operators to minimize downtime.
  • Stay informed about new technologies and equipment in the refrigeration field.
  • Exhibit foresight in anticipating parts requirements and follow proper purchasing protocols.
  • Adhere to good manufacturing practices (GMP) and corporate regulations regarding food safety and quality.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems.
  • Expertise in PLC, VFD, and control systems.
  • Experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Freon refrigeration license or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Ability to inspect equipment and proactively address potential issues.
  • Proficient in using various maintenance tools.
  • Capable of performing maintenance tasks independently.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Basic computer skills are required.
