Job Summary:

Marksman Security is seeking a skilled Firefighter to join our team in Liberty, NC. As a Firefighter, you will play a crucial role in protecting lives and property by responding to emergency situations and providing assistance in various capacities.

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to fire, medical, security, and hazmat situations according to emergency response plans and standardized operating procedures.
  • Perform routine daily, weekly, and monthly inspections on fire alarm, fire suppression, and security equipment.
  • Physically inspect all fire suppression systems, including sprinkler systems, manual and automatic alarm initiating devices, fire panels, and standpipe hoses.
  • Patrol facilities for fire or building code violations and additional safety hazards; report to supervisor.
  • Act as a weather spotter and monitor weather alerts through Sky Guard or other notification systems.
  • Approve and inspect all hot works and high-hazard hot works, confined space permits.
  • Participate in daily training on emergency response to maintain readiness.
  • Maintain compliance with personal Fire/Medical/Hazmat certifications as required by local mandate.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or GED.
  • Certified Fire 1 and 2, in lieu of 1403 Firefighter certification with accompanying letter from Fire Chief stating candidate is certified as an interior firefighter is acceptable.
  • Must obtain Firefighter 1 and 2 within 24 months.
  • Current NC Drivers License with at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record, and the ability to safely operate a vehicle required.
  • Pass an NFPA 1582 physical examination and drug test.
