Job Summary:

Fort Liberty Federal Credit Union is seeking a skilled Loan Processor I to join our team. As a Loan Processor I, you will be responsible for reviewing loan packages to ensure all aspects of the underwriting process have been properly completed and that it adheres to company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Review loan packages to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  2. Verify loan disclosures and ensure all pertinent paperwork is in place and properly executed.
  3. Prepare and process loan modification agreements, ACH forms, and other lending-related forms.
  4. Maintain indirect auto loan packages, including scanning files to cold storage and updating application logs.
  5. Submit titles and necessary paperwork to respective DMV offices.
  6. Perfect FLFCU liens on titles and maintain accuracy on the title log.
  7. Work the paid-off loan report and perform necessary duties.
  8. Answer inquiries via telephone, email, mail, and/or in person.
Requirements:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the minimum level of knowledge, skills, and/or ability required.

Education and Training:
  • High School Diploma.
  • Annual completion of mandatory Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC, and Red Flag Identity Theft training.
Prior Experience:
  • 1-3 years of similar or related experience with at least 1 year in lending. Prior credit union or financial institutional experience preferred.
  • Prior sales experience helpful.
Interpersonal Skills:

Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation.

Other Special Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong working knowledge of all FLFCU products and services.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to explain complex topics or situations.
  • Must be willing to reach out and call members to solicit loan business.
  • Strong proficiency with all Microsoft applications.
  • General knowledge of credit union lending policies and procedures (internal).
  • Ability to operate a variety of office equipment, including phones, scanners, faxes, etc.
Physical Demands:

The need for physical stamina is low to moderate.

Working Conditions:

Minimal adverse working conditions. Some fluctuations in temperature experienced in office setting. May need to work beyond normal working hours, pending organization needs.
