Job Summary

Magellan Health is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate New Parent Support Home Visitor to join our team at Fort Liberty, NC. As a key member of our child welfare team, you will provide critical support to military families with young children, helping them navigate the challenges of parenthood and promoting healthy relationships within the family.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide home visits to families with children from birth to 3 years old, offering guidance and support on parenting skills, child development, and family relationships.
  • Assess family needs and develop individualized plans to address risk factors and promote healthy family functioning.
  • Collaborate with local community and military installation officials to ensure seamless program delivery and maximize effectiveness.
  • Utilize evidence-based practices and community-based services to provide concrete support for families in crisis.
  • Maintain accurate records and tracking systems to ensure timely and effective service delivery.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field.
  • At least 2 years of direct work experience in child abuse or domestic abuse, maternal or child health, or medical social work.
  • Current and active license as an LCSW, LMFT, or RN.
  • Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and ability to operate a motor vehicle.
  • Working knowledge of basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
