Reports To: Manager, Maintenance Programs & Heavy Maintenance Planning

FLSA Status: Exempt


Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Heavy Maintenance Planner to join our team at National Airlines. As a key member of our Quality Control department, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating aircraft heavy checks, ensuring that all maintenance requirements are met and that our aircraft are airworthy.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate aircraft heavy checks: Work with various departments to schedule and support A-Checks and above, ensuring that all necessary tasks are completed on time and within budget.
  • Review maintenance next due reports: Create work orders and work packages for aircraft A-Checks and above, ensuring that all necessary tasks are included and that deadlines are met.
  • Collaborate with Line Maintenance Planning: Ensure that items which may not make the next heavy check are addressed and not overflow, ensuring that our aircraft are always airworthy.
  • Communicate effectively: Work closely with various departments to ensure that all maintenance requirements are met, and that our aircraft are always airworthy.
  • Maintain accurate records: Ensure that all maintenance records are accurate and up-to-date, and that all necessary paperwork is completed in a timely manner.
  • Stay up-to-date with regulations: Ensure that all maintenance activities are conducted in compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.


Requirements:

  • 2+ years of aircraft maintenance planning experience: Preferably in a similar role, with experience working with various departments to plan and coordinate aircraft maintenance.
  • Associate degree in aviation: Or equivalent experience, with a strong understanding of aircraft maintenance principles and practices.
  • FAA Mechanic certificate with Airframe and Powerplant rating: Or equivalent experience, with a strong understanding of aircraft maintenance principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: Ability to work effectively with various departments and stakeholders, and to communicate complex maintenance information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously, with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Valid US Passport: Ability to travel domestically and internationally, as required.
  • Valid Driver License: Ability to drive company vehicles, as required.
  • Background check: Ability to pass a background check, including a pre-employment drug test, finger printing, and criminal history records check.
